DESCRIPTION

Nobody’s Perfect, but with RSi, we can all get Closer

Even great golfers have mis-hits. It’s part of the game. TaylorMade studies show that 76% of shots hit by golfers are mis-hits. So our engineers set out to design the ultimate iron to help golfers have better mis-hits. The desired results? You’re going to hit more greens, and shoot lower scores because your misses will be better. RSi series irons are the first irons ever to feature FaceSlot Technology which provides uniform flexion across the face protecting ball speed and generating more consistent distance on off-center hits. Face Slot Technology is featured in the 3-8 iron with two slots located near the heel & toe of the clubface. At address, the irons look striking and give golfers ultimate confidence.

And while RSi1 provides the ultimate performance on shots hit away from the center of the clubface, the irons are infused with all of the speed and distance Tour Pros and amateurs alike have come to demand from TaylorMade. RSi1 feature an improved Speed Pocket with ThruSlot Technology in the 3-7 irons which increase launch angle and ball speed on all shots. The Speed Pocket gives golfers ball speed protection on shots below the center of the face, further improving performance on mis-hits.

Combine all of that with our thinnest face, deep undercut and Inverted Cone Technology and RSi1 gives golfers maximum face speed for maximum consistent distance. Our engineers have also improved sound and feel via advanced construction & multiple sound management systems. And the new Reax 90 steel shaft from True Temper helps to optimize ball flight for ultimate distance and performance.

We all know that in golf nobody’s perfect, even the best players in the world miss from time to time. RSi1 can help all golfers get closer and get you starting to love your mis-hits.

-NEW Face Slot Technology in the 3-8 iron provide uniform flexion across the face protecting ball speed and generating more consistent distance on off-center hits.

-Improved Speed Pocket with ThruSlot Technology in the 3-7 iron: Provides ball speed protection on shots below the center of the face and increases launch angle and ball speed on all shots

-Advanced Face Design-our thinnest face, deep undercut and Inverted Cone Technology combined promote maximum face speed and consistency.

-Improved sound and feel through advanced construction & multiple dampening systems.

-New Reax 90 steel shaft from True Temper helps to optimize ball flight for ultimate distance and performance.

frank jimenez says:

do you know whats the grams weight on a stiff flex.

Jacob Diaz says:

You should test the  Taylor Made RSI vs Callaway XR

nigel Turner says:

it makes be laugh of the brand snobby that goes on these post

Michael o Brien says:

got them today ,,cant wait for tomorrow .

Vici Martynov says:

Hmmm i dont think I will comment on these ones as the other model is probably more my market interest – but I have to say they look horrible with these slots – when you consider that the competition for these suddenly looks awsome with the very pretty Srixon hot irons, Nike Vapor Power irons and the new Mizunos – I cant help thinking that Taylormade is losing its way – up till a year or so ago i loved their products  and now I dislike most of it – to my eye these are very ugly – glad to see Ninja reads my posts, the most sincere form of flattery eh – giggles

Golf Buddy says:

There’s only one slot I want on my face lol

BEAST69 says:

Do you know any place where i can buy those clubs (5-S) for around 430 pounds as new.

NUG Wales says:

These seem to have been discontinued… don’t know why.. they are the best super game improvement improvement irons in my opinion.

Lee Shaw says:

I’ve been really struggling (5 h’cap, custom fit MP54’s) depressed etc as we all get when our game is off so on a whim tried and bought a set of these earlier this week. Just gotta say wow!!! after just two practise rounds/session it’s working again sure I know the heads are a bit big and the lofts are cranked up but they go high, long and straight at the pin! IMO any clubs that give you confidence are a winner.

cgasucks says:

TM’s clubs are starting too look more like Wal-Mart clubs now..

AJ says:

Just reluctantly upgraded from my Taylor made “rac” irons 2001? To these and I couldn’t be more happy. Only had a few rounds with them but they always feel long and sharp. Hope I get as long out of these as I did my last set.

Esen S says:

I have been a golf player for Seven years and there are a few lessons that I have taken. After knowing these golf swing secrets “kaha shocking guide” (Google it), I shot a 75 after 2 buckets working on the concepts presented in this book, especially the grip section, the ball position and most significantly the through swing drills. I was a Thirteen handicap, but it is dropping. It`s fantastic guide!

unyanat says:

If have a chance ,please review RSi1 VS Speedblade

Tim Storey says:

I bought these and couldn’t be happier.

Luke Hoffstaetter says:

Does anyone have these I’m really wanting to buy these but don’t know 100%! Are they long?

Ben Crawford [golf shots] says:

Got these irons! Unbelievable!

Sam Parker says:

Can you shape them well?

mike hunt says:

Can you please do the callaway apex irons please ???
Taylor made lol what a sham they are

GolfHo says:

Only true way to see if it works is to try them out yourself. Buy clubs based upon how you hit rather than who makes them I say

seb636 says:

For a ‘very’ high handicapper like myself I’m struggling to decide which irons would be a better choice.
Taylor made RSI 1
Callaway Apex
Ping G30

Any recommendations? I understand that the RSI1 and Apex are forgiving irons. But which to go for ?

Luke Warmwater says:

Hello Rick!!! Love your reviews and thanks!!
I am around a 10-12 handicapper……
shooting r11 irons with c-taper 120’s….
have a question for you……I am thinking of upgrading to the RSI irons. which would suit me? RSI 1 or RSI 2?
and would upgrading be worth it?

Henry Bojangles says:

Discussion over whether the face slots actually do anything is pointless: either way some people will see a large improvement just because of truly believing they have “the most forgiving” iron in their hand: that’s what makes the biggest difference IMO.

gbvoul says:

Forget skill. just use clubs that allow you to suck

Alan Dye says:

No Thanks….

TM seems to be getting more and more gimmicky….I’ve not been impressed with their equipment for quit awhile.

I good club fitting will do more than getting these (IMO)

I’ll stick with my S55’s.

Bill Cavanaugh says:

Would love to see a comparison of these new irons vs. a G30 or similar on toe/heel hits.  Can’t believe the face slots do that much.  Lots of marketing stuff if you ask me!

Richard Davies says:

Hit these today love them definitely my next purchase

TheBagBalm says:

Do a miura iron review next please.

TheGamingSpud says:

I have the ping karstens in 7 iron same loft as RSI 1 but I’m launching it at 27°. Is this to high for a 7 iron? I have soft reg shaft and usually carry 130 yards if that helps.

Michael Rolton says:

Loved the video Rick. Keep them coming. Slight irony here. Strong iron lofts from a company which asks golfers to loft up. RSI also stands for Repetitive Strain Injury.

COCONUTDEVN HI says:

Nice video Rick when will these be out on the market. And did you give away the shoes yet?

John White says:

I bought the T.M. RBZ max irons several months back at a fairly low price. Maybe I should take them to a machine shop and have speed slots put in them? j/k – they would probably break! :)

yafai29 says:

Got these clubs Friday played my first game with them today. All I can say they are fantastic bit of kit

Sumit Aggarwal says:

Just tried these vs Speedblades. Used the same shaft on both clubs and identical!!!

Matthew Collins says:

No thanks. Ill stick to mizuno. TM are a joke
