saravananrajakumar says:

too many shots of you hitting shots on the course.

Shane Adair says:

Didn’t you hit the jpx 900 as good any of the newer mizuno? In the bomber setting.

Michael Munoz says:

These NEW drivers came out with the Tensei line of shafts designed for these heads…why were the tests not performed with these shafts. Other reviewers are getting better performance results and numbers while they are using the new shaft vs you Kuro Kage…New test please with the new shafts, then we’ll see what the NEW line has to offer
Thank you

Rick….Ive been golfing for 9yrs. Im not an exceptional golfer but being “self taught” i consider myself an ok average recreational golfer. Ive purchased about 5 golf sets in my 9 yrs playing, from high end gear to used to budget gear. What ive learned is that at the end of the day, if we have our swing down we can play good golf regardless of gear. Yes …of course getting fitted matters. However, there are manufactures that are considered budget brands that make good gear. Can you please……………do a review on the Tommy Armour Ta1 Driver ? I purchased it and ive played great with it. I think youtubers and teachers like you are doing a disservice to the people trying to get into the game when you discount these clubs or dont at least review them,

mizunogolfeurope says:

Thanks Rick. The ST180 was a very long driver (see last year’s MyGolfSpy data) and shares the same Ti face material as the ST190 (SP700). So although most other testers are hitting the ST190 further – they are relatively close. Weakness of the 180 was sound / feel, which has been addressed with the ST190. As for ST190 v ST190G – we’re getting a pretty even split on players liking each one. Example – Keith Mitchell (PGA Tour) chose the ST190 like yourself and Luke Donald is playing the ST190G. Suggest most people start by testing the ST190 – then if there’s a need to drop the spin / trajectory, add the ST190G to the mix.

Kevin Choi says:

I’m a fan of their irons but the drivers just never at the top of list. Like many of reviewers I also have my eyes on the F9 In white.

Brad Acorn says:

Very good assessment and very fair. I bet if you had the 70G X-Stiff you’d gain another 4-5 yards, but that is subjective. Mine is on order at Mizuno and will be here just before the 15th of Feb. I went 60 gram S Fujikura Kuro Kage in the ST190. Great review Rick!

Jack T says:

Do a review on Justin Rose’s Honma driver

itsaflyboything says:

those tiny splashes of blue are to die for!

simon smart says:

Looking at all the swing speeds vs balls speeds (excluding driver length) ALL the new drivers have the same ball speed. So shafts will be the difference hand in hand with spin

Ian Large says:

Great review==BUT? why all the hate suddenly for the blue head of the ST180? when you reviewed the JPX900 driver 2 years ago, you “loved it” also you play with a Cobra 3 wood in blue, i cant help but feel that a change to black is purely fashion oriented, led by marketing and not an actual improvement as the figures have showed, all this marketing hype regarding the carbon crown and faster face etc in reality is not an improvement at all, just hype!, dont get me wrong i have been using Mizuno irons for a very long time and love them, i also use the blue headed ST180 and by far prefer the looks to this years ST190, i think that they have dropped a clanger by using a glossy crown, the TM M5/M6 matt finish looks way better and on a sunny bright day far less intrusive to relections, there is so much marketing hype around golf these days its sometimes difficult to seperate it from actual improvements,so i’ll stick with my unfashionable ST180 as it plays more consistent than the TM and Ping drivers i was using before, and i have tried quite a few,–mmmm Blue!! “Love it”!!

Brent Billings says:

Hey Rick wonder if you would do a review on your edge exotics exs driver.

Zachary Schuster says:

How could you see the carbon crown in a matte finish Rick?

gmiller313 says:

Hi Rick. Do you need to update what your “optimal performance chart” shows for the updated drivers? It seems that every driver that has been tested this year (and I think last year) has higher ball speed, further carry and further total distance.

Airsoft GI says:

are you not working with pete and rest of gang anymore?

Steve Woodward says:

Rick. Shouldn’t you test the GT version in the best settings for your swing just as we should?

Richard Wales says:

I think the Wilson Staff woods were a good looking club.

Landon Houska says:

When will you be announcing winners of golf clubs

Sewoon Oh says:

I wish you add these Mizuno drivers to the giveaway that you are going to announce end of this month. Love this driver.

Scott Warner says:

I agree that’s it’s a great looking driver, in my opinion I love it especially in the gloss black. I hate the look of flat black or flat finished drivers.
I have a 440cc JPX850 driver in my collection which is the gloss blue & I think it’s stunning, it performs really well, I agreed it’s not for everybody. The thing I don’t like about the JPX850 is the sound, it’s just too bloody loud. That’s the only reason that’s not my gamer.

l33ble says:

New carbon top?…….pretty sure the old mizuno mp001 had that. Does look awesome though.

Adam Hopkins says:

Nice review again Rick – killer sentence at the end re performance. For me 3-5 yards doesn’t concern me, sound and looks definitely, so will test these.

Carlos Lopez says:

Rick… did you use a 60X or 70X Kuro Dual?

Duncan Green says:

If you need another text dummy let. Me know Mr Rick. I don’t use driver so could be a good test

Rick Shiels Golf says:

Q.) What’s the best looking golf club ever?

Chris Richardson says:

good honest review once again

Matthew De Ridder says:

Why not just get a lower spinning shaft? That’s the loss for you right there…..

Jody Mullin says:

Every other manufacturers release has seen a step in performance that might make upgrading worth it. Other than looks really no reason to want to try or buy this driver. Great review as usual

Rajbir raj says:

Nice rick! very good videos and I like this video. visit my website.

Simple TT says:

Wow, just saw a great deal on puttouts. Check it out:

Gab285 Gab285 says:

Great review as normal but you’ve got to question the summary when almost everyone else reviewing the Mizzy drivers has them going as long if not longer than the competition this year. I’m already looking forward to the MyGolf Spy test as this really is the bench mark test.

blipco5 says:

You can spend all all you want on a driver, it is no replacement for skill. Go ahead and buy the best….a skilled golfer can still drive further with a stick.
Spend the money on lessons instead.

Avery Simmons says:

Meh. I love the blue.

K4rN1v00L says:

forget that driver wheres a guy get that golf bag british masters baby link please rick

just sunny says:

Very bland driver mates! F9 (yellow)and G410 are good lookers!! F9 is still the best!!

Zach Thomas says:

That club twirl though
