Chris Austin says:

nearly 300 yards with a 3 wood!!!! Unreal

Phil McIver says:

Rick I find modern fairway woods to long and difficult to hit. I’ve personally put it down to the smaller head and long shaft not being very confident inspiring. 43inch for 3 wood vs 40 in a 3 hybrid.
you showed it on this vid nearly 300 yards and not every one straight.
Mini driver with higher loft is my preference these days.

Chandra Sharma says:

I have a XR 16. My connection is perfect , i get the distance I need but the ball fades in the last forty to fity metres — how can i fix this

Payton Gries says:

Rick thanks for the videos. And I don’t know why people get on here and talk trash to you. If u don’t like it don’t comment

Thomas M. says:

Pro version is a mini driver, basically. Would be great for off the tee. At 295 yards, who needs a driver!

Steven Shaw says:

I absolutely hated the offset on the normal xr16, the pro sits so much more square

Mark Hedetniemi says:

Is the Pro version more shallow than the regular version? Or, is the regular version much taller than the Pro version?

Adam Ko says:

loft will be on the shaft…

Mitchell Pape says:

You should compare the m2 fairway wood vs the callaway xr 16 fairway wood

Adam Flynn says:

Yeah lower profile the better for hitting off the fairway for me! I think they are going too far at near 300 for you

Liam Toland says:

Some terrible shots, dispersion is unreal

A Google User says:

Looks lika a very nice club. A thought that’s hit me on these reviews is that they usually lack a comparison with the previous model (The XR in this case). I think it would be very useful to know since previous models usually are still available in retail and might be at a different price.

Yadammm says:

Callaway got it right with the XR 16 line! These clubs are sleek and stealthy and very simple, which is good for a lot of golfers. I pair it up with the XR OS Hybrid and love the look of these.

I think a lot of people fall for the new club phenomenon thinking the technical advantages of newer clubs will help them. There really isn’t a ton of different between clubs today and clubs 3 or 5 years ago. At this point most of the tech is maxed out. This is why it’s important to find clubs that just feel right. Like Rick was saying: when you pull a club out of your bag that you love to look at, you want to hit it well, and a lot of times this is all it takes to translate to better shots.

Tom Schueller says:

High loft driver

Roy Kullick says:

I don’t understand why Callaway would make Pro versions in the XR line. They have other product lines for the so called better players, right?

Kellen Philipp says:

Did the full review ever come out (3:52)?

theDman0223 says:

Rick, could you tell me what you mean by deep and shallow heads? Thank you.

Dylan Shaw-Radford says:

I do agree ( son of Ruth Shaw Dylan )

Cal Connolly says:

What is the material you are hitting off (grass, Astro turf)?

TheGolfdaily says:

After looking at the new clubs reviews of 2016, it really gets me that they seems to have gained 20 odd yards from last year’s clubs!
Rick, could you please confirm the numbers??

John Dunne says:

When u r playing in places like Dubai, how much of a difference does the heat make to how far your hit your shots, does your club head speed change?

Andrew Nelson says:

I think that’s the biggest 3 wood I’ve seen I think stenson will be using that more than his driver unbelievable

MissyLaMotte says:

*lol* …. hits a 3wood 296 yds and says very reluctantly “It’s okay” ….
I want to see if you can hit either of these past 300 yds in the full review.

Hacker2024 says:

Does anyone ever go into a golf shop and spend 189.00 of your hard earned cash on clubs like this? I only ever buy a few seasons old off ebay as il still hit the ball just as well/badly with them!

Lars Moltsen says:

just an ugly club as the usual for callaway

Dan B says:

People amuse me, slating Ricks swing/dispersion on these videos!

The dam video is his opinion on the new clubs coming out, thats it nothing more nothing less, his full review is in the future as he says. Hes hitting a couple of shots for fun to get a quick feeling from the clubs and looks of them etc. Hes hardly putting 100% focus on splitting a fairway while chatting to all of us about the clubs lol.

Relax guys and just enjoy the vids, or go elsewhere imo.
